Schumer's role in life
The Washington Times "Inside Politics" column (citing the NY Post) is reporting that Chuck Schumer is considering leaving his safe U.S. Senate seat to run for NY Governor in 2006. Why? Because he fears that the Dems are headed for further losses in the Senate, which impedes his favorite activity:
" 'He's making it clear that his ability to block judges, to be effective the way he thinks he should be, could come to an end after the election,' said a source close to Senate Democrats."
Yep. Obstructionism on judges. That's what Chuck Schumer takes pride in.
